So an heir attracted to gray hair? This could get interesting... And I guess that explains the nanny thing! Are you using a program/app to select your heir? Cute puppies! I keep meaning to get pets, but they can be so much work. I like the idea of using the elixir to extend the life of the sims. I always thought the s2 lifespan was too short, and sometimes, I'd send them to college JUST SO they could have those extra days. It's so odd to have the parents of teens be elders unless the parents spend a lot of their adult time without kids. I'm really looking forward to see how this gray haired, mechanical old ladies comes into play. :)

I use the Mega List of Mini Challenges app. You can find it here: http://chitina-sims.livejournal.com/4054.html If you click on -roll- you get mini challenges. Can be fun with sims 3 too. And if you click on -Sim Selector-, you can either type in names or numbers and press -Choose- (Triplets = 3X5 points = 15X-Choose-) That's how I get my heirs.
Pets are a lot of work. No joke! It's actually hard on your legacy to have pets. They're fun and funny at times, but it can take up too much screen time from your sims AND it takes up much of their time. Leaving almost nothing else for your sims to do...
I had to use the elixer. It's sad that the grandparents almost never get to see their grandkids. Or if they do it's only for 3-4 days or maybe 1 of 5 grandkids. That's why I decided to copy the lifestage from sims 3.
